Introducing Global Medical and Surgical Teams…

March 23, 2018 by Dr. Vessely Leave a Comment

…my new non profit organization! This is very near and dear to my heart. As many of you know, I have spent the last ten years traveling the world during my vacations to participate in cleft lip and palate surgical mission trips. Well, I am marking the 30th anniversary of my medical school graduation this year with the unveiling of Global Medical and Surgical Teams. My dream is to continue to do the work I love, and to help others fulfill their dreams of giving back to this world by donating medical skills and knowledge to underserved areas of the world. Please check out the new website to learn more. Consider volunteering–we need not only medical professionals but others who are willing to donate their time, talents and treasures to make this world a better place. Or consider a donation to help fund a cleft lip or palate operation for a child in Uganda (we have a cleft lip and palate team headed there in April, 2018!!).

CURE Kenya trip 2017

October 16, 2017 by Dr. Vessely 2 Comments

Traveling for a surgical mission trip is always and adventure, and this trip was no exception. It was wonderful to be able to share the experience with Sarah and Deb, who are both seasoned travelers. This was Sarah’s and my third trip to Kijabe and Deb’s first to Kenya, though she has volunteered for cleft lip and palate surgical trips in Vietnam and Ecuador in the past. We’ve attached several photos from our trip, and are very grateful for all the prayers and good wishes for our patients, our travels and our families.

Introducing Blue Peel Radiance™

August 30, 2017 by Dr. Vessely Leave a Comment

Blue Peel RADIANCE by Obagi is a great treatment option to help refresh and renew your facial skin.

We can help you effectively exfoliate your skin, leaving a healthier, radiant skin appearance. This treatment is designed to provide a gentle but effective option to freshen your skin. It can stand alone as a mild rejuvenation treatment, but is even more effective when paired with the Obagi Nu Derm System, or in a series of treatments.

To prepare for your RADIANCE peel, be sure to wear an SPF 30 sunscreen on your face for at least a week prior to treatment. You’ll want to avoid sun exposure post treatment and to use gentle skin care for the first few days, returning to your normal skin care (including the Nu Derm System) within 5-7 days. As you transition to fresher, healthier skin, you may experience some mild peeling or redness, but most patients report a beautiful skin appearance early on, enabling this to be a last minute choice before a special event or weekend away.

Put your best face forward with IPL. Enjoy an IPL series of 3 full face treatments for $999

IPL can help revitalize your skin by reducing brown sun spots and spider veins. Facial flushing and rosacea respond nicely to IPL. Many patients see improved pore size, texture and overall skin improvement. You may want to treat your neck and chest as well in preparation for holiday dresses and necklines. Add on an extra area for $100 per treatment.

Do you want a more comprehensive rejuvenation plan? Dr. Vessely can customize your treatment plan as part of your transformation to the Younger You!

*Call now to schedule and for details: 503-692-1190. Must call to schedule by October 28th and complete first treatment by November 18th. All three treatments for same patient and must be completed by January 15th. May not be combined with other specials or applied to previous treatments.

Making the World a Better Place

August 25, 2016 by Dr. Vessely Leave a Comment

As some of you know, I have an interest in global health and have had the privilege to travel for surgical mission trips to South America and Africa. These experiences have sparked an interest in public health and I have just completed my Certificate in Global Health through Johns Hopkins. This is part of a bigger plan to earn my masters in public health through Johns Hopkins as well. I’ll be sharing some of what I have learned and the interesting topics that affect our world, near and far, such as Zika virus, Ebola, obesity epidemic, tobacco and alcohol issues, access to health care and surgical care, etc. through my Twitter feed. Over the years, many of you have expressed interest in some of these issues. Feel free to connect with me on Twitter and share your humanitarian concerns as well. Together we can make this a better world.
