Dr. Vessely | Missions

I have long had a heart for missions. The reason I became a doctor was to help people. As I consolidate my online medical presence, I want to highlight Mission opportunities. In these pages you will find resources for you and stories from me as we work together to respond to  the many and various needs in our world. Please explore these pages and contact me if you have ideas, resources, or questions.

I hope my stories inspire you to step out of your comfort zone and find your own place to make a difference. The needs are great around the world....and across town. Locally, my colleagues and I participate in a program called Project Access NOW as we provide care to those in our community who are not covered by health insurance and unable to afford medical care. In my cosmetic practice we highlight one local charity each quarter and raise money and awareness for organizations such as Dress for Success, The Oregon Food Bank, Goose Hollow Homeless Shelter For Families, J P Clawson Medical Missions Foundation, and the Washington County Foster Children's Program.

I also want to make this website a resource for people interested in participating in mission trips--whether they be in downtown Portland, or in Lusaka, Zambia. Click here to explore the resources, or contact me to add your resource to the list. As the list grows, I plan to highlight opportunities for medical and non-medical people, as well as trips for families. Keep checking back, and please contact me with suggestions and information.
